Makeup & Beer

Last week I taught my first makeup workshop at the International Women's Club here in Breda.
I think it went well and there are more to come. On the weekend our favourite pub had a beer promotion event and we happily tried a few pints of the nice Belgian beer. I am not really thrilled
to stand next to a horse but it was a good excuse to show my outfit which is quite nice if I may say so.

My new Etsy shop

I have just opened my Etsy shop where I sell digital prints of my watercolours and handmade dolls.
A small step for humanity, a big one for Mimi.  At the moment I will only ship in the Netherlands but that will change soon  as I learn more about how things work in  Etsy world. Here are a few examples.

Mimi in the Newspaper

I have been living in the Netherlands for more than a year now  and a week ago I had the opportunity to perform my magical dance and tricks  for the first time. It was a good night for me and hopefully there will be more to come in the future.

"The Magician Number"

On the 22^nd of January 2016 I will be performing a short number from

my show The Rose and the Tailcoat  at Electron Cafe, Belcrum weg 19.

The show is part of the children's Cultuurnacht, a cultural night with events happening all around Breda. I will be sharing the stage with the illusionist Jochem Nooijen and we will be performing in blocks of twenty minutes at 19.15 ; 19.50 and at 20.25

About me:

I am a performer and illustrator and I create solo shows which combine movement and visual elements - animation, hand-made props and set design. In creating my shows I am influenced by old circus, silent films, books and everything magical.

Dear friends,
Have a look at my new short animation, about a guy who does a lot of moaning,
alas, another self-portrait. Illustrations and animation were done by me with some
technical help from the ever so patient and supportive Zoran.
The animation is dedicated to my late friend Tom Hardy with whom I've spent
many happy hours in the pubs of Camden Town.
